STEAM AHEAD

ARCADIA AUSTRALIA COMMUNITY OPEN DAYS
23 & 24 November 2016

ABOUT STEAM AHEAD

The inaugural Arcadia Australia STEAM AHEAD Community Open Days will take place at Elizabeth Quay on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th November.

STEAM AHEAD will feature a range of hands on activities, interactive activations and workshops that focus on the three pillars of Arcadia Australia; Sustainability, Arts & Culture and Science & Innovation.

Arcadia’s Spider is the embodiment of STEAM – displaying impressive uses of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics to bring 50 tonne’s of scrap metal to life each show, which is then neatly packed away to travel all over the world.

School groups can book into sessions from 10.00am – 3.00pm and the general public are welcome to participate in the evening open sessions from 4.00pm – 7.00pm. There will also be a food area to enjoy a bite to eat!

STEAM AHEAD is a free community event!

STEAM AHEAD Programme

The STEAM AHEAD Community Open Days will consist of eight interactive spaces which will showcase a range of exhibits and activities that embody Arcadia’s ethos and display at least one aspect of the three pillars that drive this event.
