What’s included in an Arcadia Australia show?

Each night revolves around a line up of iconic DJ’s playing from the belly of Arcadia’s 50 tonne, 360-degree fire-breathing Spider!

The show also features:

THE LANDING SHOW

The Landing show sees the Spider awaken, elevating the energy in the arena into peak euphoria. Uniting a stunning range of creativity elements and all the Spider’s effects. The show features interactive aerial performances, abductions, mechanical mayhem and breathtaking pyrotechnics as the Spider makes first contact.

 LORDS OF LIGHTNING

A partnership between Arcadia and Carlos Van Camp, the Lords of Lightning harness 4 million volts of electricity using Telsa Coils in an extraordinary battle hurling shards of lightning at one another

YALLORR KEENINYARRA [DANCE OF THE WADJUK NYUNGAR/PEOPLE]

At the heart of the Perth event is the union between the Arcadia spider and the sacred Wadjuk spider of Garrgatup [Kings Park]. Two spiders from two very different worlds will meet for the first time in mutual understanding, uniting around a primal flame to celebrate the human spirit with an exclusive live performance.

This show is STRICTLY OVER 18 EVENTS ONLY.

Patrons must be over the age of 18 at time of entry.

Valid photo ID will be required upon entry.

DAY 3 – Sunday 27th of November – ALL AGES

This show is a STRICTLY ALCOHOL FREE.

Patrons (13+) must show valid photo ID upon entry.

Children (12 and under) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Arcadia Australia is not recommended for children 5 and under.

18+ VIP Web-Side Ticket

Can I reserve a seat?

There is no reserved seating – Arcadia Australia is a fully immersive event, it takes place in a 360-degree arena with the show happening above and around you. You can get up close and personal with the Spider and even dance underneath it.

We strongly recommend that you arrive to Arcadia Australia via public transport.

Elizabeth Quay Inlet - Closed Water Notice

The Elizabeth Quay inlet will be closed to all vessels (Government Vessels and Transperth Ferry Service excluded) for the duration of the Arcadia Australia shows. No vessels will be permitted to enter, anchor or moor and swimming is prohibited.

Road Closure Notice

Some road closures will be in place during the Arcadia Australia event as follows:

The Esplanade – Closure Dates

Friday 25 November: 10:30pm – 11:30pm

Saturday 26 November: 10:30pm – 11:30pm

Sunday 27 November: 9:00pm – 10:00pm

Should I bring ID with me?

All patrons must bring valid ID with them.

Anyone without ID will not be permitted into the event.

A valid ID must contain a photo, your full name and date of Birth (D.O.B).

 

The following forms of valid ID will be accepted:

Drivers License

Passport

Motorbike or Scooter License (Only if it has Name, D.O.B & Photo)

Proof of Age card

If you are picking up tickets at the gate you will need to bring photo ID and the credit card you used to book the tickets. Please see the full ticketing T&Cs for details.

Can I take photos at the event or post about Arcadia Australia on social media?

Yes! Take as many photos as you like – however no drones.

Professional cameras will only be permitted with valid media accreditation.

The community days are for the people of Perth of all ages to experience and learn more about the ethos behind Arcadia Australia; Arts and Culture, Science and Innovation and Sustainability.

Selfie or GoPro sticks

Food & drink cans; of ANY kind

Furniture of any kind – Chairs ect

Umbrellas

Eskies – Large items including eskies, drink coolers or ice boxes

Fireworks

Any Glass items

Large containers

Large bags or large backpacks

Amplification equipment

Unauthorised promotional, commercial, political, material religious or offensive items of whatever nature including clothing, banners, signs, symbols and leaflets or flyers.

Laser pointers, whistles or loud hailers; or items deemed or considered dangerous or capable of causing a public nuisance that could be used to distract, obstruct, interfere with any performer or other patrons’ enjoyment.

Perfume and deodorant bottles must be sealed and must not have screw tops

Professional cameras, recording or broadcast devices without the promoter’s permission;

Any other items as determined by Security of Management that may cause injury or public nuisance

How do I enter the Arcadia Competition?

This competition has now closed!

Each night Arcadia Australia are giving away the ultimate Arcadia experience to one lucky winner. Just by purchasing tickets before 31 October 2016 and selected ‘opt-in for marketing’ you could be one of the lucky few to tour the Spider and see the intricacies of this unique arachnid up close.

When is the all ages show?

DAY 3
SUNDAY 27 NOVEMBER

DAY 3 is for all ages! This internationally award winning production is a cultural experience for the whole community! 

Arcadia Arcadia and The Event Agency pride themselves on producing events of the highest quality and standard, assuring patron safety at all times.

Who can come?

Arcadia Australia’s Sunday show is ALL AGES!

  • All children (under 12) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • All ticket holders (13+) must show a valid photo ID on entry.
  • Arcadia Australia is not recommended for children 5 and under. The show will include pyrotechnics, flames and loud amplified music, parental discretion is advised.

I’m a parent or guardian and want to attend the event?

Sunday’s show is now ALL AGES. Parents or guardians over 18 wanting to accompany their children, siblings, relatives or friends are welcome to attend.

All ticket holders (13+) must show valid photo ID on entry.

What ID is required to get in?

All ticket holders (13+) are required to present valid photo identification to gain access to the event.

If you do not present the correct photo ID on entry you won’t be able to attend the event and no refunds will be permitted.

A valid ID must contain a photo, your full name and date of Birth (D.O.B).Birth certificates will not be accepted.

Is there an entry policy?

Yes, a strict entrance policy applies to Arcadia Australia All Ages Event. Our entry procedures checks are as follows:

All ticket holders (13+) will have to present valid photo ID on entry.

All children (under 12) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

ALL bags will be checked.

Body checks/pat downs may occur to patrons heavily clothed for prohibited items.

Random breathalysing may occur.

Random drug testing through Tongue swipes may occur.

Patrons will be wrist banded to accredit that they have been through the above entry procedure.

As condition of entry patrons are agreeing to the above procedures to take place. Should a patron choose to refuse they will be denied entry.

If a patron is found to have any drug or alcohol reading, they will not be permitted into the event.

These patrons will be taken to a designated area and monitored by security until parents are called and collection has occurred.

There are NO PASS OUTS.

Patrons who choose to leave the event prior to the scheduled closure of 9:30pm will NOT be permitted to re-enter.

Will there be first aid at the event?

If you or one of your friends feels unwell go straight to first aid – look after yourself and each other!

First aid will be available at the event and clearly sign posted for easy visibility.

RED FROGS Australia will be engaged to provide additional Crowd Care services.

RED FROGS will hand out free water, red frog lollies as well as sun screen.

How do I get there?

We highly recommend using public transport to get to the event, plus each Arcadia Australia Underage ticket includes free public transport to the event.

The Elizabeth Quay Railway Station is conveniently located next door to the event grounds. Train, & Bus information can be found HERE

PARENT PICK UP MEETING POINT: The Bell Tower, located at Barrack Square, is the designated parent/guardian pick up Meeting Point for the Arcadia All Ages event. This iconic landmark is easily recognisable and is a very short walk from Elizabeth Quay. Staff and signage will be presented to direct patrons from the exit gates to this Meeting Point. We recommend parents walk to this meeting point to collect their children and escort them back to their car.

Parking in Barrack Square is VERY limited! We highly recommend parents/guardian park their vehicles in the nearby CCP parking lot on Terrace Road and walk to the Bell Tower Meeting Point to meet their children.

Please note – The Esplanade will be closed from 9.00pm – 10.00pm on Sunday 27th November.

Is there a dress code?

Use your creativity and make an effort!

Shirts and shoes must be kept on at all times.

Will there be food and drinks?

There will be a variety of food vendors where you will be able to purchase hot and cold meals as well as a selection of soft drinks.

Free drinking water will be available.

Will there be a cloakroom?

A secure cloakroom will be available.

Extra-large bags and suitcases are not permitted into the event.

Small bags, backpacks and handbags are permitted into the event and can be checked into the cloakroom if desired.

Jackets and other clothing items can also be checked into the cloakroom.

Important All Ages information

Arcadia Australia’s All Ages Event is strictly ALCOHOL FREE. There is a zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol at any time, this will be strongly enforced.

All ticket holders (13+) must show valid photo ID on entry.

All children (12 and under) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Entry into the Arcadia Australia event grounds will be permitted to ticket holders only. Attempting to gain access into the event grounds without a ticket is illegal and considered Trespassing.

Perimeter fence lines will be installed around event grounds.

Attempting to jump fences could result in serious injury.

Police and security presence will be surrounding the event grounds and fence lines.

Press charges may occur against anyone caught Trespassing.

As part of the entry procedure all patrons who enter are wrist banded, if a person is found inside the venue without a wristband they will be ejected and charges may pre laid.
